A new success of participation is expected for Popolarissima, historic cycling race organized in Treviso on the third Sunday of March by UC Trevigiani.
There were 54 teams from all over the world to apply for the race born in 1919 and which has been included in the UCI Europe Tour’s international calendar since 2017, but Ettore Renato Barzi and his staff have been able to satisfy only half their needs for safety reasons.
In exactly 10 days, with great ambitions, the home team, the Sangemini Trevigiani Mg.K Vis Vega, will open at the start. The complete starting list will soon be available on the site www.uctrevigiani.com, along with all other useful information about the event.
The 104th edition confirms a classic suit for sprinters with the usual flat route that winds through the heart of Treviso. A year ago Giovanni Lonardi from Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior, today professional with the Nippo Vini Fantini Faizanè, won the sprint.
